Plaid Overload AHHHHHH!!!
Too much plaid, went "shopping" yesterday and it was plaid plaid plaid everywhere. I'm not saying it doesn't look good. Just look at Sam Merlotte.
But can I say sheep? BAH BAH BAH.
Now it all makes sense, first Oscar De la Renta makes cerulean gowns, then Yves Saint Laurent makes cerulean military jackets, and then it's everywhere in department stores. "That blue, represents countless jobs and millions of dollars." To quote Miranda Priestly. So I guess a couple designers must have made plaid popular, and now we are suffering from this plaid flu.
Let me show you my observations/frustrations:
American EAGLE:
Abercrombie:
GAP:
Everything is the SAME!! Not 100% the same, but what is really the difference? Are they hiring the same designers? Or worse, are they spying on each other? I'm really glad that H & M, my favorite store atm decided to take the high road this time around and not have half their store be filled with plaid. 4 for you H&M !
Before I'm done, I would like to say kudos to abercrombie for making this shirt
Why is this shirt the shit? Well, this shirt is extra thick, yet soft, so it will make you skinny guys out there look somewhat buff. I almost bought this shirt, the only thing that stopped me is the fact that it cost $90 !! $90 is way to much for a shirt that probably cost $4 to make. Maybe one day when I get a friend or boy/girl friend that works there so I can get their employee's discount.
